Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.)

One room, one table and one acupuncturist, so the person you meet at the door is the person who places the needles.

I started Juniper with a single room, and I have kept it that way on purpose. A visit here is mine from start to finish: the talk, the tongue and pulse, the needles and the plan. I do not hand you to anyone else, and I do not book the next person while you are resting.

The people who come in are mostly adults with a sore back or neck, shoulders that stay tight at a desk, or stress that has settled in the body. Many are already seeing a doctor, a physical therapist or a counselor, and I like to know that. Acupuncture sits beside that care. It does not replace it.

What people come in for

  • Back and neck pain
  • Tight shoulders from desk work
  • Headaches
  • Stress and poor sleep

Credentials

  • Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.), NCBAHM, formerly NCCAOM

  • Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) · NC Lic. 000000

The room

A room set up for one person

The table is by the window, with a linen cover that is changed between visits. There is one stool, one cabinet and a few plants, and a shelf of folded blankets for the rest. I do not use scented products, and the room stays quiet.

It is on West Weaver Street in Carrboro, a short walk from the town center, with street parking nearby.

A corner of the treatment room: a linen-covered table end, a wooden cabinet with small jars and a tray, folded towels on a shelf and a plant by the window.
